Amended service between Glasgow Central and Motherwell on Sunday 21 May until 07:00 on Monday 22 May

Network Rail are carrying out engineering work between Glasgow Central and Cambuslang, closing all lines.

CrossCountry

Buses replace trains between Glasgow Central and Motherwell

ScotRail

Buses replace trains between Glasgow Central and Motherwell.

Services between Glasgow Central and Lanark will be diverted via Cathcart, extending journey times.

Services which normally run between Balloch and Larkhall will start / terminate at Rutherglen. A replacement bus will run between Bridgeton and Larkhall.

Services between Milngavie and Motherwell will be diverted via Whifflet. A replacement bus will run between Bridgeton and Motherwell via Hamilton.

Services between Glasgow Central and Newton will be amended. A change of train will be required at Larkhall

TransPennine Express

Trains from Glasgow Central will be retimed to depart Glasgow Central up to 10 minutes earlier than normal.

Trains to Glasgow Central will be retimed to arrive into Glasgow Central up to10 minutes later than normal.

Virgin Trains

Services will be diverted via Mount Florida, extending journey times by approximately 20 minutes.

Services which run via Birmingham New Street will start / terminate at Carlisle. You will need to change trains at Carlisle for onward travel.

Virgin Trains East Coast

On Sunday the 16:30 London Kings Cross to Glasgow Central will terminate at Edinburgh. A replacement coach service will run from Edinburgh to Motherwell. On Monday the 06:50 Glasgow Central to London Kings Cross will start from Edinburgh at 08:00.
